This site is only a few weeks old. But before I started it I was heavily involved in promoting content on various content sharing sites. Once I understood I was successful at it, I studied two large books on developing a successful website. Then I evaluated dozens, possibly hundreds of other websites to learn about design, branding and content. I even have a largely useless reference volume sitting right here at my desk.
